There are many reasons you might want to shutdown your Fitbit Versa, to preserve battery life or reconnect a device. To turn the Fitbit Versa series off and on, follow these steps.
- On your watch, open the Settings app.
- Go to “About”, “Shutdown” and then confirm the shutdown.
- To turn your watch back on, press the back button.
As simple as that, you can shutdown your wearable device and turn it back on. Note: This does not erase data.
How to restart the Fitbit Versa after shutdown 2020
After shutting down your Fitbit Versa you will want to restart it, or you may just want to restart it for some other reasons including if your device won’t sync, it won’t respond to button presses, it’s charged but will not turn on or it won’t track your steps or other stats.
- For the Fitbit Versa, press and hold the back and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen.
- For the Fitbit Versa Lite Edition and Fitbit Versa 2, hold the back button for 10 seconds.
- Let go of the buttons.
This should restart your device and fix any problems you might have been experiencing.
