Thankfully, there are some simple things can help solve the issue. So, here are some helpful tips to follow if your Sky Q system is showing ‘Error code mr102’.

Why is my Sky Q displaying ‘Sky Error code mr102’?

This problem usually occurs due to your mini box failing to connect to your main box. Your mini box could’ve gone into ‘Eco mode’ or it’s simply just lost connection with the main box over time.

To try and reboot the connection; turn off you Sky mini box at the wall for about 30 seconds and then turn it back on.

If that still hasn’t worked, it might not only the mini box that has lost connection. Try switching both the mini box and the main box off at the wall for another 30 seconds, then turn the main box back on first. Wait for it fully reboot and then turn the mini box back on.

My Sky Q connection has been lost completely

Your Sky Q mini box is connected to the ‘mesh network’. If you look at your network settings it will only show you that your mini box is connected to your network at home.

The easiest option if your network connection has been lost completely is to go to your Sky Home page, click on Settings, Network, Setup and select the Reset option and confirm it.

This should reboot your network connections and give you the option to connect again to your home network.
